The California Coalition for Financial Empowerment is a new regional initiative that will bring together government agencies, financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders. Our mission is to build a coalition that develops and implements collective solutions to consumer financial protection/inclusion challenges.
We are excited to launch our first regional chapter serving Fresno, Kings, Madera, and Tulare Counties. This chapter will serve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building to engage unbanked/underbanked communities in the Central San Joaquin Valley.
By cultivating partnerships at the regional level across the state, we aim to foster economic mobility and expand generational wealth-building opportunities for underserved populations, creating a financially empowered California where everyone can thrive.
What to Expect
- Identify resources, educational materials, and capacity-building opportunities provided by the DFPI, FDIC, and other participants.
- Engage in discussions to address specific local needs and drive meaningful change.
- Expand access to, and uptake of, direct services for underserved populations within the Central San Joaquin Valley.
- Participate in working groups focused on key areas of consumer financial protection/inclusion.
